This was Roll Call's visit to Arlington National Cemetery in 2011, and the stone over the crew of 60528, the C-130 shot down by Russian Fighters over the skies of Armenia in 1957. Again,this year, this will be our first stop where we will again leave flowers and hold a brief memorial ceremony. Then on the the White House

Keynote Speaker Jimmie Kimmett

Colonel Roman was an intelligence officer with 23 years of Air Force Operational Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance experience in collection, analysis and reporting. Greg graduated from the AF Academy in 1979 and Signals Intelligence Officer training at Goodfellow that same year. His assignments included Greece, Korea, Germany, Panama, Japan. Later in his career, he was assigned to the Pentagon as the Tactical Cryptological Program Element Monitor. Greg’s final assignments included managing all Combatant Command space-based intelligence requirements at US Space Command, and Group Commander for all space-based intelligence missions.

The general enlisted in the Air Force in 1959 and after basic training attended Russian language training at Syracuse (N.Y.) University. He completed advanced training and then was assigned to the 6937th Communications Group, Peshawar, Pakistan, from May 1960 to September 1961.

He was commissioned through the Officer Candidate School program in March 1962 and was assigned to Zweibrucken Air Base, West Germany, where he served in various intelligence data automation positions with the 6901st Special Communications Group. In July 1965 General Bishop transferred to Headquarters U.S. Air Force Security Service, Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, as chief of the Support Branch, Automatic Data Processing Center.
